I was born in New York but moved to
Florida when I was only six months
old.
I grew up in Coral Gables and
graduated from the University of
Miami with a B.A. degree majoring in
psychology. I met my husband in Ft.
Lauderdale and we moved to Palm
Harbor buying our house in 1982,
where we still live today. I worked
in insurance as a claim
adjuster/examiner for 28 years. I
was always interested in art but did
not have the time to explore that
interest until I retired. I dabbled
in several mediums but it was not
until I took a water color painting
class from Joan Swetland at the
Dunedin Fine Art Center, Dunedin
Florida that I found my niche. I
continue to take classes from Joan
at the DFAC.
I work primarily in watercolor. My
style is fairly realistic; I do not
specialize in any particular type of
subject matter. I paint landscapes,
seascapes, floral, animals and still
life. The only thing I have not
tried is portraiture but that is on
my to do list.
My work can be seen in the annual
student member show at the Dunedin
Fine Art Center and at some of the
rotating exhibits of the Creative
Artist Guild and the Palm Harbor Art
Club.
