Art is the breath and
soul of some people. For me it's
like breathing and seems as natural.
Any form of art has been interesting
to me.
Life has demands on
people causing them to choose
different paths to travel.
I had always wanted
to be a housewife with no career,
but upon the death of my husband my
life changed.
Our home was located
on the banks of a famous trout
fishing river, the McKenzie River in
Eugene, Oregon. People loved to come
visit and enjoy the wonderful
natural surroundings. My neighbor
suggested I open a Bed & Breakfast
Inn, which would be the answer to my
immediate income needs. For 25 years
I operated the inn which was a
wonderful experience and has filled
my life with purpose. During that
time my art was put on hold. Three
years ago I retired and started
painting any subject.
I had never thought
of painting portraits and discovered
I enjoyed it very much especially
painting children.
Now I have launched
off in a new career and am wondering
what exciting events will occur
next.
